W dniu 20 września w siedzibie spółki odbyła się konferencja prasowa w sprawie obchodów 100-lecia wodociągów średzkich. 
Na spotkaniu przedstawiono sprawozdanie z działalności komitetu organizacyjnego przygotowującego obchody.
Prezes Jan Buczkowski przedstawił całościowy plan imprez, które będą się odbywać na przełomie roku 2010/2011 tj .między innymi : konferencje tematyczne przy udziale branży wodociągowej oraz kadry naukowej, chęć zlecenia napisania książki o historii wodociągów średzkich oraz o spotkaniu jubileuszowym, które będzie miało miejsce na początku przyszłego roku z pracownikami, przedstawicielami władz lokalnych i krajowych, na którym poświęcony zostanie sztandar wodociągów średzkich, ufundowany przez Zarząd Spółki.
Następnie p. Anna Nowak pomysłodawca i koordynator projektu obchodów przedstawiła plan najbliższych imprez, które odbędą się w dniach 25-29 września br.

25 września
Na boisku treningowym OSiR-u przy ul. Poselskiej od godz. 14 odbędzie się szereg imprez dla dzieci, występy muzyczne w tym koncert gwiazdy, zespołu Czerwone Gitary, pokaz fajerwerków.
O godz. 20:30 przy ul. Dąbrowskiego / Żwirki i Wigury będzie można zobaczyć inscenizacje napadu na wieżę, zwiedzić obiekt i trochę się przestraszyć gdyż w tym szczególnym dniu potwierdzono przybycie i obecność na wieży nocnych duszków.

26 września
Dni otwarte MPECWiK Sp. z o.o. Od godz. 11:00 co godzinę z parkingu przy Urzędzie Miejskim w Środzie odjeżdżać będą autokary na obiekty Stacji Uzdatniania Wody, Przepompowni i Oczyszczalni w Chwałkowie.

27-29 września
Zorganizowana została ścieżka edukacyjna dla uczniów szkół podstawowych Gminy Środa Wlkp. Podobnie jak w niedzielę, tym razem ucząca się młodzież będzie mogła zapoznać się z technologią produkcji wody i oczyszczania ścieków.
